How to make your investment property stand out from the rest

Simple renovations and added amenities attract more tenant views

In a crowded rental market, your property needs to stand out from the crowd to attract more enquiries. We recommend that landlords repaint and refresh their rental properties between tenants, as a freshly painted, well-maintained property shows that the landlord cares about the tenants as much as the property. In our experience, properties with extra amenities like ceiling fans, dishwasher or washer/dryer combo will attract busy professionals.

If the flooring is looking a bit sad, then re-carpet, refresh wooden or bamboo floors or replace tiling. If your property is a decade or so old, then it’s a good idea to replace hardware like taps and cupboard door handles. You’ll be surprised at the difference it makes. Last but not least, market your property with professional photography. You might have some quality photos already. If you haven’t, we can help with a photographer who will highlight the best aspects of your property. Remember, you’ll be able to reuse those photos in the future.
