OPEN FOR INSPECTION AND VIEWING TIPS

etting available inspection times each week on your property simplifies the inspection process for both you and the potential tenant. Having one or more times available means its easy for them to book in and not have to wait to hear back for a time. These could either be open for inspection or private viewing times if your agency uses a booking system.

Ten to fifteen minutes is an adequate length for an inspection/viewing as it creates completion and in turn, urgency for potential tenants to submit an application for that property.

Tips to consider include:

As each prospective tenant enters the property, it may be helpful to observe their demeanour. This may include things such as how they present themselves, their attentiveness and whether they use appropriate language to converse with you.

Ensure the correct property address is advertised.

Ensure the lawns are attended to while the property is vacant.

Switch the lights on throughout the house.

Use the heating and cooling systems within the house (weather dependant).

Pull open the curtains and blinds.

Open the garage door for easy access/viewing.

Air fresheners are ideal to use prior to an Open Inspection/Viewing.
